I’ve always been completely fascinated by some of the unique beads and components created by Swarovski, especially the cosmic rings and triangles. These aren’t exactly beads, but they simply cry out to be used in jewelry. The trouble is finding ways to do it without wire.
I’ve been holding onto some jet black cosmic triangles for awhile now, when out of the blue I pictured them with a beam of light passing through. I could see strands of rainbow seed beads, too. So today’s necklace-a-day design was born.
I like the combination of rainbow, black and white with the distinct shape of the triangle crystal. I find that it looks as much like a rock album cover as a poster in a high school art class. With this inspiration in mind, I searched for some fan art and found these groovy designs:

I like the scientific aspect of this necklace. It immediately makes me think of the way a prism splits white light into rainbow colours. What a clever way to use a slightly awkward component!
