Bead Giveaway: Spring Mixes

We’ve moved our clocks forward, and the first day of spring is just days away. More sunshine and warmer weather are just the beginning of inspiring things to come. Soon we’ll have all kinds of wonderful flowers to inspire us with their beautiful colors.

To celebrate, I’m giving away two custom bead mixes from my collection of rare and vintage beads, in beautiful spring shades of green and purple. These bead soups are full of sparkle, with assorted lucite and acrylic shapes that are perfect for spring designs.

Green Meadow Bead Mix Plum Paradise Bead Mix

My favorites are the tiny leaf dangles, and top drilled rounds in a pretty shade of lavender. Both would look adorable in fringe or a spiral rope.

How to Enter

To win both sets of beads, leave a comment on this post, and answer the following question:

What is your favorite springtime inspiration?

Be sure to include a contact link, such as a website or email, if you do not have a Blogger profile with email contact enabled. For an extra entry, leave a link to a blog post or Tweet that mentions this giveaway.

I’ll draw one lucky winner at random, on Friday, April 1st. This giveaway is open to residents of Canada and the US.

Good luck, and happy beading!

  3. My springtime inspiration has always been those first little flowers, the crocuses and daffodils, that peak up at us from the brown earth. Since we moved south to Houston, they happen early and I've added to them the red bud and bradford pear trees that bloom so beautifully early in the spring. I love the colors and the harbinger of spring and the end of cold.

  6. Beautiful bead colors. In my front yard there are purples, pinks and whites-camellias, azeleas; butterfly larvae after the milkweed-12 monarchs; a hummingbird after the shrimp plants. Spring is the best and spring growth with everything waking. Even a great full moon Saturday pm/am is awake specially for us. The greens with St Patty Day and me Irish. New Orleans is grand. Have a great day everyone.

  8. Those are sooo beautiful!
My main Spring inspiration is all of the colors that start to come back. I know that sounds very simple but the simplest ideas are sometimes the most beautiful!

  9. Great beads! My favorite spring inspiration are the trees - the little leaves uncurling, the blossms.

  10. I would have to say my spring inspiration comes from the trees budding, & the Easter lily's so bright pushing thru the earth. These bead mixes are beautiful, & since I just started my shop- would be a wonderful way to have more variety in my offerings to others :) Thanks so much for the chance to win :)

  11. Hi Mortira! New follower here. Found you via Happy Mango Beads on Facebook. I know most people are probably inspired by Spring's flowers, and I certainly can't argue there. My personal springtime inspiration, however, is the lovely misty green-gold color of the trees as they begin to bud and leaf out. My favorite poet, Robert Frost, wrote "Nature's first green is gold, her hardest hue to hold. Her early leaf's a flower, but only so an hour."

  12. My inspiration for Spring is my blooming azaleas. They start to bloom on one end of my fence and progressively explode over the span of a week or two. They are bright fuschia...a welcome sight after the bare trees of winter (or as wintery as it gets in central FL!)

  13. I'm a photographer also, and I love spring because it's when everything comes back- not from the dead, but waking from all those beautiful frost-covered winter dreams. I draw a lot of inspiration from crocuses, hyacinths and the trees when they first start to bud out and the new growth comes in red. Also love the angle of light and having blue skies again!

  18. So hard to choose.

Both lavender and green are my favorite colors and they so resonate with spring. Yet, if I have to absolutely make a choice, I think I'll have to pick the lavender - I have this wisteria tree that fills up with lavender hue in April , just around my birthday, and that is what inspires me every time to create something with purple in Spring time!

  25. Mortira, those are gorgeous. My favorite springtime inspiration is to see the firstborn flowers of spring that pop up along a forest trail. You get just a pop of color here and there in the midst of a blanket of brown and green.

  26. Those beads are lovely and I hope I win them! My inspiration in the spring is the first sign of bud poking up through the ground and the sound of birds chirping.

  27. Hello...my favorite time of the year is Spring as it means rebirth. My color inspiration would have to be everything, not just one thing or one color. The blues of the sky, the greens of grass, the mulitude of colors for flowers. There is inspiration in all of them. It's like a big giant color wheel world. Thanks for the contest. The beads are beautiful. Thanks. Cheryl Renteria (Beads4You)

  30. My spring inspiration comes from the snow melting and the prospect of all the beautiful and delicious things we're going to grow in our gardens this summer! The return of a green world after a winter of monotones! YAY! :D

  31. Oh I have been away too long. Spring is my favorite because I love when the birds arrive and the trees start to show hints of leaves. The crocus's and daffodils are sprouting and it is funny that I am not a green person until spring and then I am all about the greens and their changes! What a great giveaway!

  32. I think my most favorite spring inspiration is color, color everywhere! Flowers & trees look brighter & bolder than I remember. I love to look at the color variations in flowers & leaves & incorporate the newness in my work.

  33. What a great idea, Mortira! My first favorite time of spring is after a couple of days of sunshine, how the grass is suddenly greening up from the shades of brown and grey. Then the orchards and fields become carpeted with little blankets of tiny white/lavender/blue flowers. The robins come out, all fat and sassy, singing their liquid songs. That's what these bead collections remind me of.
