About
Welcome to Inspirational Beading!
This blog is a resource for anyone who adores beads, jewelry or handmade crafts. With each post, I hope to inspire new ideas for using beads, colors, and techniques. I often try to put a bit of a green spin on things, while also appealing to every type of beader. I also hope to create discussion and debate, so comments are always welcome, no matter how old a post is.
A Quick Note on Copyrights:
All text on this blog, including interviews, is the property of the author(s), and may only be copied as excerpts (maximum one paragraph or 300 words) when credit is given with links to all authors involved.
All images are the property of the artists, with the exception of screenshots which are the property of the originating site.
If you would like to share an original Inspirational Beading image, please provide credit with links back to the post. Borrowed/featured images are all linked to the original source either individually, or within the post text. Visit the original websites to learn about using the images for your own blog or website.
I always do my very best to provide credit, links and SEO tags to help promote the artist and/or site where images are found. Many inspirational images are hosted publicly by Flickr and Pinterest. If your image has been featured, and you would like an extra credit link to your main website added, please let me know! If you have been featured on Inspirational Beading, and you wish to have your images removed, please contact me here: inspirationalbeading@gmail.com

Blog Comments
No post on Inspirational Beading is complete without some lively discussion from readers! Everyone is welcome to comment on any post, any time. To maintain an open door for comments but not spammers, I usually have Captcha filters set up, but you don't need to have an account to comment - the Name/URL or Anonymous options are open to everyone, and all languages are welcome.
Readers are also welcome to include links in their comments if they wish to share something, however all HTML is stripped from comments for security and SEO reasons. Have a question or comment just for me? Drop me a line at inspirationalbeading@gmail.com. All comments are vetted for appropriateness.
About Mortira
Beading is my number one passion, and I am always looking for new and interesting things to share with my fellow crafters. My own designs have an eco-friendly flair. I usually avoid using a long list of common materials such as precious metals, gemstones, plastic, and endangered or threatened animals. This always poses a challenge, and I love to share the ups and downs of being a picky beader.
You can learn more about me, and see the always long list of my favorite blogs on my profile. You can also contact me at inspirationalbeading@gmail.com, and find me here:

On Metals, Gemstones, and the Weather:
Inspirational Beading is a blog for everyone, and anyone that loves beads, jewelry, color, crafts, or fashion. Whether you string, weave, embroider, solder, or smoosh, I hope that this blog will help inspire you.
I do try to encourage using sustainable materials, simply by sharing my designs, which do not rely on metals, stones, or plastics (except beading thread, or course). Occasionally I will share some of the information that inspired me to abstain from certain bead types, but I also love to support my fellow artists, and the small businesses that supply us with our materials, even when our ideas are different.
I must apologize in advance to my international readers for every post I write that has a seasonal twist. I know that the weather isn't the same on the other side of our planet, so I hope you'll bear with me when those ideas strike.
