  2. I love bronze. I'm a fan of all things old-timey so the darker patina a metal has the more I like it. Steampunk, Art Neuveau, Art Deco, and the Oriental craze are my inspirations.

That saying - this is probably my favorite bead soup you've ever done. Turquoise has a fond history in my family, since we lived near the Navajo Indian Reservation and were exposed to it a lot. I think every member in my family has at least one jewelry piece (if not more) that is turquoise. My grandfather made mine.

  6. I have to admit that Sterling Silver is my favorite metallic bead color. It really depends on what beads I'm using and whether the gold accent or silver appeals to me the best.

  16. WOWEE!!! Turquoise and gold, what a wonderful giveaway!!! Of course, copper and silver look great with turquoise, too. it's my birthstone, being a Dec. baby. (long, long ago...)
FAVORITE METAL has to be gold, with the copper and silver close bhind. Shiny or antique are ok on all 3 metals.
If the metal is faux, I think antiqued copper looks best, followed by bronze.

    I love Egyptian jewelry, "murals",
the columns, elaborately decorated...etc., and was glad to read/see your Egyptian columns.

    Am keeping my fingers crossed,
and THANK YOU for the giveaway!!!

My favorite bead color is bright red. It accents so many other colors and changes the look of anything it's in.

  26. This is a hard one, because I like most metals. But to choose only one, I would have to say silver.

I tend to gravitate towards the blues when I look at beads so your bead soup really caught my eye.

  31. Hello Mortira,
That is a lovely selection in your bead soup. I have just recently discovered your website (through Allfreebeading, I think) and am very impressed with your designs. I am newly come to beading and find myself a big fan of seed beading but also mixed media, crochet or knitting or tatting with beads and so on!! I'm hard pressed to pick favourites, although I tend to gravitate towards blues, tourquoise and teals and I love to bead with metallics for that subtle play of irridescence across the colour palette. I would have to say they would be my favourite. Anyway, just want to say thank you for your lovely website. It definitely lives up to it's name. I am Marchia in Montreal at marchia@sympatico.ca Hope you had a good weekend.

  34. I love copper!! The bright and antique. It's not used very often in pieces that I've seen and I love its uniqueness. It becomes its own creature and patinas. That gives it a second life and a new beginning.
