Bead Giveaway: Here Comes the Sun

Winter cannot last forever, and for those of us who are still stuck in the snow, all we need is a little color to keep us going until it’s over. This month’s giveaway is a welcome splash of light, with a colorful assortment of vintage transparent beads.

First we have a beautiful batch of lavender colored acrylic round drops. These 6mm beads are incredibly sweet with just the right shade of soft purple. I’ve also included a custom mixture of yellows in assorted shapes, and green pear drops that are totally disco. The way that transparent beads pick up and capture the light makes them perfect for spring designs, and these ones don’t disappoint.

  24. Green definetly green of course anything green for me. Green is so vibrant...so alive... I just love the way green will brighten any dull color. Transparent green seems to say "I am here use me". Where as other transparent colors may disapear or just set there.

  27. What a great question! In this case, with the colors given I will go with the lavender. I love the color purple all of the time, but given the long winter we have had and the color choices you have given, I can imagine smelling the tall lavender bushes growing in my back yard. I can see the bees hovering around the lilac bushes across the street. I can see the movement of the clusters of lilac flowers as a light spring breeze blows the scent over for me to smell. Yes, I would have to go with the lavender color. Thanks for the chance!

  34. I love the lavender as it is one of my favourite colours and plants - my daughter and her children just gave me a beautiful lavender bush for my 24 Wedding Anniversary. I find lavender a very relaxing and peaceful colour and as I teach her 4 girls beadwork nearly every Friday - they would make a beautiful gift for her birthday in April - made into jewellery by her daughters aged 5 to 11... Something she can treasure for always :-) I also must tell you that I love your site for it's inspiration and ideas. Nannybee - hal2308@sky.com
