The only thing better than getting a new package of beads in the mail, is getting a surprise package of beads. There’s something so exciting about the mystery of a blind bag, the discovery of something new, and the chance to try a different material without having to choose it yourself. I love it when indie bead shops include a few samples in an order, and I’m a huge fan of bead grab bags from Auntie’s Beads. They always have a varied selection of goodies at a great price, so when there’s a sale, I try my best to get my hands on one. There’s always a chance that there will be beads or components that I can’t use, which means I get to pass on the goodness to my fantastic readers.
I recently stocked up on some shaped seed beads and a few favorite 11/o colors, and got a new grab bag with my order. There were a lot of lovely goodies in the bag, and I’m giving them all away! This month I’ve got two strands of 4 and 6mm magenta glass pearls, and a strand of (I think) pink matrix jasper rounds. They look good enough to eat!

Oh, how perfect! I am creating pink jewelery for years during christmas time for a very close and dear friend... who... just loves pink! (she hated it as a teen ;))
ReplyDeleteI like to pair pink with greens, like olive green. I am looking forward to read some answers to this. That has been feeling kind of 90's lately.

Also this is the only blogspot I comment on and I still get the "I have a question" spam and links :(
I tried to post, I hope this is not a repeat.
ReplyDeleteI love Pink and Grey. They are girly and sophisticated at the same time. Pink is soft and Grey gives it an edge. I love these two colors together.
I like Pink and Black.
ReplyDeletebrown i love these two colors together
ReplyDeleteI know that it is 'fashion' right now, but I have always loved Pink and Black together. :) ~KraftyMax
ReplyDeletefavorite color to go with Pink I would like lavender or silvery grey
ReplyDeleteHigh school memory was triggered seeing these intense pink beads.... Mid 50's I was part of the very first class in Miramonte HS in Orinda CA... we voted on everything to establish the traditions that would follow us, team mascot, school colors, etc. I think the winning color choice was the very popular (then) color combo of hot pink and charcoal grey... the dean of girls announced that we chose green and white... I think she "lied", but I think it was a wise switch... still, I think that the hot pink is a fun and happy color. Would love to get these
ReplyDeleteI love brown and white with pink. beekeeper420ATyahooDOTcom
ReplyDeleteI have always wanted to do a hot pink and lemon yellow necklace. I just love the idea of something that bright. It would just be happy.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous selection, thank you! I love using pink with black gemstones or crystals, and labradorite. As for the delicious shade of the giveaway beads, I would consider a touch of gold, greenish turquoise and oxidised silver. Email: deb_oro@yahoo.gr
ReplyDeleteMy first thought was black but I also like pairing it with brown.

ReplyDeleteWow! That is a no brainer! I have an eight year old daughter. Everything goes with pink! Her current (therefore mine as well) is hot pink and black. Before that, it was pink and purple. Then before that, pink and orange. So many CHOICES!!
ReplyDeleteI love the way pink just pops when you pair it with black... there's reason that's a classic combination. :)

I love pink pearls with white pearls and maybe a few crystals mixed in. My mother is fighting breast cancer so pink is our color of choice right now to show we fight for the cure.
