Color lined crystal, or clear, seed beads come in just about every shade imaginable. The layer of clear glass above the color adds so much sparkle to a design, that it’s a wonder I have any other types of seed beads in my stash.

I have read where some of the color lines ones are not that durable. That the color wears away after some time. So I have been avoiding them. Are there really these types of problems with all the color lined beads?
ReplyDeleteI have encountered some Czech seed beads with flaky lining. Almost all of the colors pictured in this post are Japanese seed beads, and they've all stood up very well.
ReplyDeleteYou can usually tell whether or not a bead's finish will flake or fade right away, because some of the beads in the package will already be turning.
