A Bracelet a Week: Thirteen

Passion Fruit Seed Bead Palette

Today is a very special day! This Saturday, I have officially completed one fourth of my year long beading challenge. And I haven’t repeated a single design yet! I’m still having a lot of fun coming up with new bracelet ideas, and I’m so glad that I can share it with my wonderful readers. Thank you so much for joining me on this journey! We still have 39 weeks to go!

This week’s bracelet is a new hollow right angle weave bangle. I wanted to use a fun and happy color palette for this special occasion, so I started with the brightest shade of 8/o seed beads I had - matte pumpkin. I couldn’t resist pairing them with transparent lemon lime, so I made it a split complementary palette and tossed in some purple and fuchsia.

I love the way it turned out, even though the chartreuse looks a bit shy against the orange. And I got to use my new hand display! Even though it's tiny, I love the way it rests, and I'm getting some new and interesting angles for my product photos.

To make week thirteen even better, I snapped lots of photographs while I was making this bracelet, and created a brand new PDF beading tutorial. This hollow RAW bangle design has been a favorite of mine for a long time, and I’m so happy to be sharing the method.

This week, I also created a tutorial for the techniques behind my Tribal Trio rings, including the modified square stitch trim that I use on many of my projects. Both of these new tutorials are available exclusively in my new beading tutorial shop on ArtFire.

To celebrate, I’m giving away copies of the Stacked Ring tutorial for one whole week! Buy any personal or commercial use tutorial, and mention Bracelet a Week on the order, and you’ll get a matching version of the Stacked Bead Ring project free! This little BOGO is just for Inspirational Beading readers, and is available until April 9th.

It’s funny how anxious I was about starting this challenge, worrying that I would get bored or run out of inspiration. I’m finding so much motivation, and having a blast. I can’t wait to share what I’ve got cooking for next week’s bracelet. Cross your fingers for me!
